SoTa PoP wrote:It's honestly hard to judge the imperfects. Zitro twins and Reg are beasts, more so then most, but when you see a squad of imperfects and neither of those 3 are in it, then all you have to do is see if they pull out a tank, if they don't, then they're as squishy as anyone else. But even then, their worst members are easily any other corps best.
Si on the other hand, even without a tank they run so perfectly together that 8 out of 10 games you'll see a flock of blue berries following them. STB and SyN get the same treatment from blue berries.
ROFL may as well be dead, so who cares. If they need to pull from several corps to field a team then they'll be struggling with a lot more then just skill. ROFL needs to set up a base of players they expect to be competitive and actually go through with makin' it into a real corp, possibly the idol head of there "Alliance." Which is what I believe they did do, but they didn't stick with it.
Trit - I like these guys. If you ever were to have a good game where a line was drawn and the only thing crossing that line was bullets, it against these guys. Not as tight as other corps, they make up for it with excellent solo players who compliment others who are trying to use team work. There leadership is both effective and influential.
Betamax - You see them from time to time, almost never in full squads. I've never seen them dominate more then a few games, usually in vehicle. They may of once been good, but it's hard to tell now, seems a lot of there best aren't as active. Still, you see there name in game and know that one side has an edge with them there.
L.O.T.I.S - Up and coming indeed. What a punch these guys pack lol. Not nearly at the top 5 corp strength, they're climbing fast. Careful of there pilots, they take cue from PFB and use speed tanks that a full squad of proto forges can't touch. They're well organized and there leadership seems strong.
PFB - Another great group of guys, gun game is as good as any other corp, but there vehicle game is especially sinister. They're probably the best when it comes to vehicle to vehicle warfare. There leadership is capable, but organization may be in the lack.
Zion is hard not to be biased towards, but I have my reservations. Out of any corp we field the most heavies and logi's, which makes for excellent pub stomp squads. Zions lack of vehicles has crippled there standings in corp battles, as such we get looked down upon, which is understandable. If you're looking for a quick squad with excellent gun game Zion's public channel openly accepts anyone into there squads as if they were Zion themselves. Zion has a "good guy" reputation, earned from Shad and his subordinates. But we'll see how long that image lasts :)
And STB - They take a lot of crap from the top corps, and I'm not sure why. QG, when I squaded with him, impressed the hell out of me with his SL skills. Showed me there's a lot more to being a squad leader then giving out orders, objectives, and destinations. The other members of STB constantly show excellent gun game and coordination, and with QG at the helms I've no doubt they'll be spearheading many a battle.
There's a lot to say about every corp that makes them different. It's not a stretch to say Imperfects are easily the best, but it would be a long stretch to say they're the best by a mile. Many corps have several players worthy of mention, many of which never use these forums. So far I'm impressed with the beta communities corps and can't wait to see what it's like in open beta :)
Just thought I'd clear some things up for you, SoTa, since you seem to be a bit confused with regard to ROFL:
ROFL is an alliance and has been for some time now. If you know EvE 3rd party sites, this is pretty easy to confirm. PFBHz is part of ROFL and did comprise some of ROFL House for the tourney.
ROFL has several other clans/corps with plenty of members. Not all corps wanted to participate in the tourney (for various reasons) so a "House" Corp was created for those who have been very active for this iteration of the beta. As with most groups with players who have been around since the first build, many players just don't want to go through the process of grinding toons over and over again knowing they will have to do it again at release.
